In 2019, three friends, Anton, Adil, and Julian, built a coffee truck with the coolest name in the world: Neongrut. They had no problem driving 6000 km round trip to Naples to fetch the old Piaggio Ape, which they eventually transformed into the most beautiful coffee truck you've probably ever seen. But their dream was always to have a permanent location where they could unfold their passion.
And that dream came true! They got their own space, where they have even expanded to the adjacent premises! Here, they have a coffee bar during the day and a cocktail and wine bar in the evenings. And Neongrut is not some punk band playing around with coffee and wine; oh no, think again: Anton has coached two of the baristas at Neongrut to victory in the Norwegian Championship in their respective categories of coffee art. One of them, Simen Andersen, even ranked 6th in the World Championship in Australia. In other words, you'll find three Norwegian champions in the field of coffee at Neongrut.
It's a 100% plant-based concept, collaborating with local Norwegian coffee roasters, and in the wine bar, they offer natural wines from unexpected countries.
