    For a long time, Rathkes gate was a quiet, hidden corner of Grünerløkka, but now it's buzzing with life.


    Partly thanks to the family business Kuro, run by the cousin of the F5 brothers (not a scary criminal gang, but brothers who have run a clothing store for many years). F5 and Kuro sit wall to wall and share the same sleek style and home-built interior. There they can play and work while developing their passion for coffee. They take a minimalist approach to both the interior and the menu. It's about keeping things simple, so that whatever they serve is always of the highest quality (Dutch Vogue has described them as minimalism at its best).


    The goal has also been to create an inclusive gathering place for the neighbourhood – and they've succeeded brilliantly: they host small concerts, exhibitions and spontaneous pop-ups.


    Kuro is quite simply a cure for bad days and low spirits. Because with great coffee made by skilled baristas behind the machine, you get fireworks all through your body.
