“Columbi egg” is an expression used to describe a simple solution to a complicated problem. Christopher Columbus made an egg stand on its tip by tapping it into a table. The folks behind Columbi Egg also achieved something complex; they have created one of the country's liveliest and most surprising folk music scenes, where both renowned musicians and enthusiastic amateurs can come together in harmony. (By the way, "amateur" comes from French and means 'one who loves,' and there's no doubt that Columbi Egg is a place that promotes the love of making music in the moment).

For many years, they've offered performers what they call "Green bonus money", if they travel to Bergen by train or bus instead of by plane. In other words, a higher fee if you travel environmentally friendly. Bravo!

Columbi Egg, celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, is a haven for curious music lovers and a refuge from digital devices. It's a place where people can gather and experience the joy of music and life. Enjoy!
