Elsker means LOVE in Norwegian and what better way to celebrate Pride & Love than with a genuine gay bar on the Lysløypa menu? Nothing. That’s why we present to you Elsker: a long-standing institution for LGBTQ+ people of all ages in the heart of Oslo.

Elsker has been a club for queer folks (and friends of queer folks) since 2006, originally operating under the name Sjokoladekoppen (The chocolate Cup). “Back in the day,” the venue served food and functioned as a café during the day, but over the years has transformed into a three-story nightclub, now featuring a cocktail bar, two dance floors, and a private club available for rent. The house’s four walls have hosted countless drag, burlesque, and cabaret performances, and international LGBTQ+ artists have filled the space for many years.

At Elsker, everyone is truly welcome, in the way they wish to express themselves. No dress code. No criteria. She/he/they/them. Welcome!
