BIT Teatergarasjen is still without a permanent home after Teatergarasjen was demolished in 2008, but they are finally getting closer to a permanent roof over their heads at Sentralbadet Scenekunsthus.

Their nomadic existence has in no way compromised their artistic integrity. On an endless journey between various theater stages in Bergen, the theater has steadfastly challenged the city's culture enthusiasts with internationally acclaimed performing arts productions. The two festivals, Oktoberdans and Meteor, create a lively atmosphere in the city, while their traveling project, Prøverommet, takes over the city's bars, cafes, galleries, and other venues every month.

BIT Teatergarasjen is among the city's true cultural highlights and play a part in putting Bergen on the European cultural map - and in 2024, they celebrate their 40th anniversary!
