Once upon a time, there was a ballerina who lived a life fit for a princess. She was a professional ballet dancer at the Norwegian National Opera, gliding across the stage in elegant pirouettes in front of hundreds of sparkling eyes. But deep down, she carried a secret dream: She wanted to bake.

In 2018, Heidi Cecilie took her first step out of the spotlight and into the kitchen and poof the ballerina became the Bakerina. It started with vegan cookies, baked with love and shared with friends. Then came cookies on a larger scale, delivered to cafés all across Oslo. And two years ago, she took the big leap: She opened her very own café right in the heart of Skillebekk.
