Bentsebrugata – the street that runs between Torshov and Sagene (maybe you've taken the number 20-bus here a few times) – is home to a few restaurants worth checking out. The restaurants here may not be best known for their aesthetic facade, but we still insist you hop off the bus, bike, or whatever you're traveling on, and check out newly opened Indian restaurant Magic Spoon. The restaurant opened in late summer 2024, just before this book went to print, and as you might know, Lysløypa aims to help the small, determined and independent places – get them over the hump – get them out to the people – because we know it's damn hard in the beginning!

The chef has over 25 years of experience in the kitchen and can work magic with any Indian dish. Maybe he has a magic spoon? Try the classic chicken tikka masala, mmmm, creamy, delicious, bright orange sauce, and yes; plenty of sauce!!

Give this new neighborhood restaurant a warm welcome!
