"Hmm. What do you think this means? And look at this! ... And these!" These are the voices we can hear buzzing around at Kunstnernes Hus. It might be extravagant to say, but we dare to claim that Kunstnernes Hus connects generations, social classes, and different cultures. You don't have to be a professor to understand art. The colors, shapes, and stories touch us nevertheless, in a place that resonates. Because we are aesthetic beings, and we possess the ability to interpret reality through both the abstract and the concrete.

Kunstnernes Hus is owned by the Kunstnernes Hus Foundation, which means an independent group of artist-driven individuals contributes to developing the house and all the magic that happens inside. The house can never promise that you will like what hangs on the walls, stands on the floor, or rolls across the screens, but if you visit I think we can promise that you will ponder on your short existence on this planet, humanity's place in it, and how in the world we have capacity for imagination and thought.

    Enjoy the experience!
