This great deal is for you who have the Lysløypa book:
2 coffee and 2 pastries for the price of 1
Text: Nora K. Sæter
Since the 1700s, the building by the Alna River has been a tenant farm, gunpowder mill, planing mill, horseshoe nail factory(!), and paint factory. Then it stood empty. For a long time. And houses shouldn’t stand empty.
Luckily, the crew from Kroloftet came along, and now Kruttverket is buzzing with life: music, dance, a neighborhood pub, café, art, and spontaneous pop-ups. Most of the interior is reused, the tableware is made by local youth, and everything is about building a sense of belonging to the neighborhood and the heritage along the Alna River.
Here you’ll also find a sauna, fresh baked goods, and always a new friend around the corner. The history is in the walls, but it’s still being written – and you can be part of it, whether as a course participant, inspired visitor, or engaged neighbor.
