From Amalie Skram to Sandra Lillebø, from Olav H. Hauge to Tomas Espedal, from Ursula Le Guin to Elizabeth Strout: Boksalongen, the small bookstore on the first floor of Litteraturhuset, is the place to visit if you're in search of quality literature. Here, you'll find novels, poetry, essay collections, fanzines, magazines, and children's books—in Norwegian, Danish, Swedish, and English. And specially curated books for those who write.

The used book section, Fosse-stova (where you can get 5 books for 100 NOK), is reserved every Tuesday between 11 AM and 4 PM for those who want to sit there in complete tranquility and read. Turn your phone on silent and savor the serenity of the place!

This independent bookstore on Østre Skostredet embodies the house's mission to "promote and generate interest in literature and reading, as well as stimulate debate on current societal issues." See you there!
